National flag of Dominican Republic

The National flag of Dominican Republic has a centred white cross that extends to the edges with quartered red and blue sections.

A small coat of arms, known as the national seal, is at the centre of the cross. The national seal features six flagstaffs, with four gathered Dominican Republic national flags supporting an open Bible. Above that is a cross of gold.

There are branches of laurel and palm around the shield. To the left is a laurel branch to represent immortality, and to the right a palm branch, a symbol of freedom.
