Bahia de Rincon -Pt 2
What makes a beach this remarkable is the quality of the sand, thousands of palm trees, azure colored waters and a spectacular setting surrounded by mountains. Also, there are no motels, hotels or condos and the only commercial establishments are several small restaurants serving freshly caught fish, lobsters and local fare.
You can dine on the fresh fish and lobster that had been caught that morning. For about $14US per head you can eat a wonderful Dominican meal of fresh grilled fish and lobster with rice, salad, potatoes, coconut bread and desert.
Getting There
You can get to Bahia de Ricon by walking down to the beach in Las Galeras and hiring a boat to take you there -the more people on the boat the cheaper it is!
You could also or rent a car, ATV or moto.
Indeed you can get a motorized rickshaw relatively cheaply. They will also do this for nearby beaches and to downtown.
It is worthy of note that the road to get from Rincon to the beach is a `challenge`!
Also note that there is no accommodation at Playa Rincon currently so don`t expect to stay there.
There are other fine beaches nearby, including Colorado, Madama, Fronton and Playita.
