Mike Charles [pictured left] and Andy Ashcroft [pictured right] have been life long friends since meeting at infant school at the age of
four !

Andy was British Ambassador to the Dominican Republic from 2002 to 2006 before leaving the Foreign Office to pursue a career as an international business consultant.

Mike is an HR professional and a musician.

It was Andy`s posting to the Dominican Republic that initially encouraged Mike to take his first Dominican Republic holiday. Initially there were family holidays, these were followed by golf holidays, and many other visits.

Between them they have travelled extensively throughout the Dominican Republic and stayed at most of the holiday destinations in the country.

They have stayed in numerous all-inclusive hotels, played most of the golf courses, and even played three music concerts in a Dominican women`s prison including one in front of the wife of the President of the Dominican Republic.

Through this website they give a unique and personal perspective on the fantastic country that is the Dominican Republic.

This really is a Caribbean paradise with vibrant friendly people, alive to the rhythm of their merengue music. On the very island where the New World was discovered by Christopher Colombus in 1492, you can relax on some of the world`s best beaches next to the beautiful turquoise sea, and you can discover a country rich in culture, with an abundance of natural attractions.
